Pinhole in my Heart … (another poem)
June 6, 2008

there’s a new pinhole in my heart
it’s so small no one can tell
but it’s there, a tiny hole
piercing my heart
it hurts
that little pinhole
it lets out light, it lets out love
it lets out what I am afraid to admit
that I care and feel
and want my heart to be full of you
from side to side
yet, instead
you have pricked me
and it hurts

I love the play between the art and the poem here.
I have often thought that blue is the color of love: the artwork captures that mood, plays off of the connection between our psyche and nature, and creates a emotional context which is both restrained and powerful.
Good work.

Oh, my. Oh. my. Thank you for putting into words — and so beautifully — what I’ve felt. This soars.
