… an artist & writer living & working within the mythological ‘national’ entity known to others as Canada.

The physical perspective is from the edge of a large lake, known to others as Lake Ontario. There is a cottage here facing east towards the fine line horizon. It is set back from the lake’s edge by about 30 feet. This lovely lake is part of a larger body of lakes, called  The Great Lakes. The Great Lakes are situated in the northeastern part of the North American continent. The lakes are seemingly split in two by what others call the national border between the United States of America and Canada.

The lake waters flow from shore to shore and know nothing of national boundaries.  Birds fly overhead, seeds float on the breeze and clouds float to and fro. The periodically visible scars streaking erratically across the limitless sky are exhaust contrails left by energy guzzling airplanes. It’s a large canvas, constantly changing, re-newing, constantly new. Meanwhile, the soft sweet waters  drain down towards the salty sea, known to others as the Atlantic Ocean via a large river, called the St.Lawrence River.

From this vantage point of the lake, we scan north, south, east and west, keeping an eye on all things - local, ‘national’ and global. This is our Point, this is our View.

gosh the world news is hectic
those bleeping generals in burma, they’ve been in power for 50 yrs!
i thought mugabe [Zimbabwe] had power ‘letting go’ issues!
this is going to finish them off! you can’t fool the people all of the time

C replies: Thanks for your kind words, and yup, military junta’s never did much good for nobody nowheres at anytime, what needs asking though is this: what/who is FINANCIALLY supporting the existing POWER base? … ie. another example would be DARFUR … ['Military' boys will go home to the kitchens of their mothers and their wives if no-one will provide them shiny new explosive toys to play with....] Find the ‘arms dealers’ and the MONEY and you get a picture of who is REALLY running the ’show’… So, back to Burma, WHO is BACKING this lunatic lot? Hmmmmm?

Great Lake pollution exists, but there are both govenmental and citizen efforts underway to ‘clean it up’. The most important is simply RAISING ‘consciousness’ …. Which we is trying to do!!!

    Thanks for stopping by. C

as the Armenian? man living in New York gets married and gets into dealing in arms – very hard to watch…it explained so clearly how wars are all about the people who supply the arms – just as you say
i have no idea who is behind the Burma juntas…i have not done any research on it at all

all the best to you splendid creative person in the northern hemisphere!

c replies: Yup, that was an interesting one – ‘Lord of War’. (2005)

It’s a pity it didn’t get better ‘reviewed’ and ‘viewed’…
